| Crampons and ice ax were a necessity. Here I'm climbing the last few metres under the ridge, the steepest part of the ascent. And I'd have given a kingdom for a second ice ax to hold in my left hand. Notice the small dots on the left side, that is the rest of the group, some 200 metres below. Not a best place for slipping. :) |
